Wayne van Heerden (born 29 March 1979) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with the Eastern Province Kings.[1]
He started playing his rugby for the Mighty Elephants in 2000, playing for them in the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup competitions. He was also included in the Sharks Super Rugby squad in 2002 and 2003. He then moved to Griquas, where he plied his trade between 2006 and 2009, also making it into the Cheetahs Super Rugby squad.
In 2010, he moved to Japanese Top League team Suntory Sungoliath, before returning to the Eastern Cape, joining Eastern Province Kings for the 2011 Vodacom Cup season.
He has also represented South Africa at Schoolboy and Under 19 level and played for the national Sevens team.
